About

A writer, former blogger, and entrepreneur, David Eilers grew up in Renton, Washington. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, and an MBA Degree from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. For no particular reason, other than he had some things to say, he became a book author.

He’s long had an interest in history, especially family history. Exploring and challenging people’s understanding of the past in an accurate, compelling manner, is a common thread among all his books. He writes when the mood compels him. All four books are self-published.

Finding Virginia was his first book, a memoir that highlights four tumultuous weeks in 2011. His second was The Amber Panels of Konigsberg, a historical fiction thriller. SLAG was his third book, a detailed look into his family’s impact on mining and smelting in the United States. Henry Farny, “Prince of Bohemians” is his fourth book.

He currently manages two other websites. One, Emma Eilers, features the work of his great great aunt Emma, who spent most of her years painting. He created a site to help those who own her paintings learn more about her.

The other website highlights the works of Henry Farny, focused especially on his illustrations. It will likely grow over time.

David launch ewillys.com in 2008, where he authored more than 165,000 posts (some impressive, but many not so much) about vintage jeeps and served more than 50 million pages to jeep lovers world-wide. He sold it to a friend for a $1 so that it would find a stable home and remain a future research resource for jeep lovers into the future.

He lives a happy life in little Prosser, Washington, as a full-time husband and a part-time rancher. He still works on vintage jeeps when he has the time.
